We believe that overcoming homelessness is something to celebrate!

Sand Dance Project was thrilled to present “In The Spirit” a live Christmas dance experience to the Union Rescue Mission’s Hope Gardens Senior Community of Women in December 2021. This show featured professional dance and recording artist, Ashley Oertel, along with a select group of students from the Los Angeles area.

Students trained and prepared through free classes provided by Sand Dance Project, and, together with community partners and teaching artists, presented an inspiring offering of dance to the worthy Senior women in our community who have overcome homelessness.

A second public performance in El Cariso Community Regional Park brought the community audience together at a time when so many need connection.

Consider making a monetary donation to partner with us as we prepare for next year. We will present contemporary holiday ballet to those in our community who are most deserving of our honor, respect, and attention during what can be an incredibly lonely time for many.

Thank you to our community partners for your donations!
